Ref: Technical Penalties
The Executive has recently approved the following list of penalties for Technical Infringements. This list will be used by all Stewards Panels to ensure consistency around the country.
This list has also been sent to all Officials and will be placed on www.kartsport.org.nz.
Technical Penalties
Where it says disqualification, it is NOT NEGOTIABLE.
Where there are two options, the first penalty is for first offence and the second penalty is for the second (or more) offence on the same day.
PENALTY
1. All Technical Inspection Infringements including tampering with seals- Disqualification
2. Pre Time Trial/Race Dummy Grid Infringement.Incorrect clutch engagement- Not permitted to start plus Disqualification
3. Pit Shute Infringements:
Overhang in width or length including exhaust & height- Relegate to last place
Seat angle- Disqualification
Dump bottle overflowing- Fine/Relegate to last place
Weight- Disqualification
Kill switch not working- Disqualification
Fuel- Disqualification
Tyre diameter/sprocket size/rim size- Disqualification
Track width- Disqualification
Bodywork/front console/side pods/nose cone/nose spoiler- Disqualification
Wheels inside side pods when using slicks- Disqualification
Unauthorised change of tyres or use of wrong tyres- Disqualification
Brake pads not wired/secured, wrong diameter operating cable/rod,no lock nuts- Disqualification
Glycol in radiator- Disqualification
Dangerous projection(s)- Disqualification
