Introduction
Hi all,

Not even the TAB would accept any bets on what our intro would be about this month ... absolutely perfect Scott Dixon leading a plethora of Black Bullet success on the international stage over the past few weeks. Dixon's Indy 500 win was followed up by a second place at The Milwaukee Mile on the weekend.

Other standout Kiwi circuit victories recently include:
- Chris van der Drift in the International Formula Master;
- Earl Bamber in the Formula V6 Asia championship in Malaysia;
- New Zealand's Kiwi Team Nurburgring in the Group N production category three years in succession at the 24 hours of Nurburgring.

A memorable month of international success indeed.

Meanwhile, New Zealand will again take centre stage in international rallying this weekend with the Rally of Whangarei. The event offers another opportunity for Kiwis to shine with the rally doubling up as a round of the Asia Pacific Rally Championship. Black Bullets Richard and Sara Mason are leading the way in the National Rally Championship and along with other competitors are keen to show their class to their international visitors. So be sure to get out and cheer for your local drivers!

Final Comment
Dixon's victory plus all the other racing action tended to overshadow the recent 2008 Motorsport NZ premier Awards where A1 Team.NZL driver Jonny Reid, who drove New Zealand to second place in the A1GP Championship this season, received the prestigious Jim Clark Trophy. Many congratulations to all the award winners from another increasingly competitive season.

There is not much more to add to all the congratulatory articles, messages and comments about Dixon's victory so we will leave that to what has already been written. Suffice to say, it will be a day to remember for all those who have supported his career and everyone who found the opportunity to savour watching his victory.
