Congratulations to Mt Wellingtons 2010 National Title Holders

KartSport Mt Wellington had a team of 39 members represent our club across the 10 classes at the 2010 KartSport NZ Sprint Nationals held in Hawkes Bay over the Easter Weekend

All our drivers represented us well and have  gained valuable experiences from this event.

Congratulations to all our representatives  and our 2010 National Champion: Tony Chambers winner of the Open Class.
Mt Wellington took first and second in this class, Daniel Bray dominated qualifying and heats but it was Tony who had the best set up in the final race. A truly exciting race to watch with both boys running twin formula 100 engines.

2010 SuperKart Series

To the small number that did take the rare chance to get some practice/testing in at Manfield and Taupo I hope it helped and at a very cheap price.

We can only thank the Pacific Motorcycle Club for allowing us to be part of it with them.

Numbers were very low and if you would like to see these rare opportunities continue if they are offered in the future you need to support them.

I have now confirmed the following dates for the 2010 Superkart series

Sunday    June 6th             Manfield
Sunday    July 4th              Hampton Downs  .
Sunday    August 1st         Taupo
Sunday    September 5th    Manfield

The Hampton Downs Meeting will be I think the first race meeting for karts so as per all the rounds in the series please support it so that you can all race and continue in the future as well.

Entry forms etc will be out in time and PRE ENTRY is asked to make things go a lot smoother and easier to run the events.

Please spread the word to all that would like to race and if people would like there email address added to the mailing list just let me know.

There will be updates sent out as things happen so you all know.

Also after each round I will try and get a report etc out and if people would like to do a report on the racing please forward it to me and I will get it out.

So please put the dates in your diary and start getting your gear ready and preped for the series.

Regards
Ross Tait

TOP HALF ROUND 3, 20TH JUNE 2010

It is with regret that due to circumstances beyond our control, Rotorua Karters Inc. will not be in a position to host the above event. The club has been working hard at finishing the final stages of our track and facilities; however the required con sents and approvals may not be completed in time. Therefore it is in the interest of the sport, that we make this decision well in advance of the event.
We thank Tokoroa Kart Club for taking over as Top Half Round 3 hosts.
